The 18th Annual ARC fair
Ridgway’s was proud to once again be a sponsor of the 18th Annual AGC Fair and
BBQ Cookoff. This year, we decided to change things up a bit and make it all about
the kids! We started making plans a few months prior because we knew we had to
do our best to make this an exciting event. The Association of General Contractors
has been hosting this event for 18 years and we were glad to be a part of it.
This year’s theme was “Ridgway’s Fun Zone.” We had about a 100’ x 50‘ area that
we could do anything with. We decided to rent a 50” inflatable obstacle course, a
moon walk, and kids games. We also had two face painters and a balloon artist. Of
course there was always a line to ride on the trackless train that circled the entire fair!
Inside of the Ridgway’s tent we served snow cones, hot dogs, water, lemonade and
popcorn. We even had a magician who performed a show every thirty minutes!
This by far was the best turn out we have ever had. This year there was a total of
approximately 3,600 people in attendence! Now that’s a lot of snow cones! The chill
in the air and the 20 mph wind was NOT enough to keep our spirits down! It especially
showed when we were voted FIRST PLACE in the “Most Hospitable Team”
category.
