Small Format Scanning
Ridgway's provides full scanning services of business documents including letter and legal size paper. Our state of the art, high-speed document scanners are capable of capturing thousands of paper documents daily.
At the beginning of each project our experienced project managers determine the optimal scan settings which include resolution, threshold, orientation, etc.
Ridgway's Imaging Services can scan documents into all industry standard formats including TIF, GIF, JPG and many more.
Once the documents have been scanned, an extensive QC process is implemented to insure that all images are readable, viewable and meet all clients' expectations. Patented image enhancement software is used to clean up and improve each image.
Large Format Scanning
Over the last few years, advances in large format scanning have made the process fast, easy, and cost effective. Ridgway's is a recognized leader in scanning of large format engineering drawings. We utilize the Contex® Full Scale Scanners capable of digitizing drawings up to 40 inches wide (E-Size/A0 oversize, scanwidth 36"/914mm) by any manageable length. With the capability to scan at resolutions as high as 800 dpi and creating image files, with more than 50 formats selectable, compatible with virtually all third party software.
Further image enhancement processing is performed providing perfectly horizontally aligned and speckle-free scanned drawings.
Images can be delivered via FTP or using a variety of electronic and storage media which include CD-R disk, Jazz, Zip, etc. With over 650mb of storage space available on a single CD-ROM, it is the most widely used storage and delivery media. We verify that all CD-ROM's produced are ISO 9660 compliant, and a backup copy is maintained in our fireproof vault to further insure against loss of files.
Data Entry
In order to easily access captured electronic images; key information pertaining to each document is captured into a database, which is compatible with the clients' search & retrieval application.
Ridgway's Imaging Services team of qualified indexing operators provides manual data entry from image or paper.
Double Entry Verification is an option that is offered by Ridgway's to ensure accuracy and the integrity of our clients' data.
